The technician will assemble, integrate, and test Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTAs) for Starlink gateways. Responsibilities include high-voltage wiring, RF alignment, and maintaining strict cleanroom and safety standards.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of hands-on experience with hand tools. Proficiency in reading technical schematics and experience with aerospace or high-voltage electronics is preferred.

A TWTA is a high-power microwave amplifier that uses a Traveling Wave Tube to amplify radio frequency (RF) signals. At SpaceX, TWTAs are used in Starlink Gateways as part of the communications payload. They are valued for their ability to provide high output power and efficiency at high frequencies.
Pay range:
Starlink Production Technician/Level 1: $22.00 - $26.50/hour
Starlink Production Technician/Level 2: $25.50 - $31.00/hour
Starlink Production Technician/Level 3: $29.50 - $37.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k)-retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Non-exempt Washington employees are eligible for sick leave in accordance with Washington's Sick Leave policies. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
