Provides technical assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and nurses during intraoperative procedures for patients of all ages. Maintains surgical department standards and may assist in circulating duties under registered nurse supervision.
Requires a high school diploma and a technical diploma/certificate in Surgical Technology or Practical Nursing, or equivalent military training. Must hold BLS certification and, if an LPN, a valid Florida or compact state license.
