Lifeguards are responsible for providing constant surveillance of aquatic areas to ensure guest safety and acting as first responders in emergencies. They also maintain pool deck cleanliness and execute dispatch protocols for various water attractions.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and pass a swim test involving a 200-yard swim and brick retrieval. Successful completion of the StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification is mandatory for the role.
As a Lifeguard at Innovative Attraction Management (IAM), you will perform an essential task in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our Guests at our various resorts. This position requires a passion for being a first responder and a commitment to providing a safe environment while Guests enjoy our pools and attractions. Lifeguards are responsible for monitoring Guests in aquatic areas, providing consistent surveillance, and acting as first responders in emergencies. You will be certified by the StarGuard Elite Lifeguard program. This job demands the ability to stand for long periods while monitoring the pool deck and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
The pay rate for this role varies based on the type of lifeguard position available. Lifeguards are paid at a rate of $19.00/Hr. Full-time positions require full availability every day of the week, including weekends and holidays, while part-time positions require availability for any three days of the week, with at least one weekend day fully available. Strong observational skills are essential to proactively identify Guest needs and ensure safety guidelines are followed. You will also need to engage positively with Guests, team members, and client partners through strong verbal communication skills. Lifeguard training and certification will be provided, and successful completion of the StarGuard Life Certification Course is mandatory to perform the duties of this role.
