The FX Artist is responsible for designing and animating high-quality photorealistic 3D effects such as fire, water, and explosions. They collaborate with lighting and compositing teams to ensure seamless integration within the production pipeline.
Candidates must have over 3 years of experience as an FX Artist and expert knowledge of Houdini and VEX. A degree in Animation, Arts, or a related field is required, and candidates must reside in Quebec and be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Relevant du/de la Chef.fe de la 3D (Head of CG) et travaillant en étroite collaboration avec le/la Superviseur.e/Chef.fe d'équipe FX (Lead FX), l'Artiste FX crée des effets visuels 3D dynamiques et captivants de haute qualité, incluant la dynamique des corps rigides (rigid bodies) et des particules, la simulation et le rendu volumétriques, la génération de géométrie procédurale et la dynamique des fluides. Nos projets actuels nécessitent une attention particulière aux effets d'eau, de magie et de destruction.

Location: Quebec (hybrid)
Overview:
Reporting to the Head of CG, and working closely with the FX Supervisor/Lead, the FX Artist creates high quality dynamic and riveting visual 3D FX including rigid body and particle dynamics, volumetric simulation and rendering, procedural geometry generation and fluid dynamics. Our current projects require a particular focus on Water, Magic and Destruction Effects.
