Full job description
McKesson is an impact-driven, Fortune 10 company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare. We are known for delivering insights, products, and services that make quality care more accessible and affordable. Here, we focus on the health, happiness, and well-being of you and those we serve – we care.
What you do at McKesson matters. We foster a culture where you can grow, make an impact, and are empowered to bring new ideas. Together, we thrive as we shape the future of health for patients, our communities, and our people. If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.
Are you naturally curious? Do you enjoy connecting the dots, understanding how businesses work, and using data to solve complex problems? If so, this role offers an opportunity to accelerate your development while making a meaningful impact on McKesson's financial performance.
The ideal candidate brings intellectual curiosity, logical thinking, learning agility, and a strong problem-solving mindset. Over time, this role will provide broad exposure across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, and manufacturer financial risk. The successful candidate will also embrace automation and AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis, improve decision-making, and create value for the enterprise.
As an Analyst, Manufacturer Financial Risk, you will help McKesson identify, measure, and mitigate financial risk across manufacturer relationships. By combining analytics, curiosity, and cross-functional partnership, you will help protect assets, improve recoveries, strengthen working capital, and drive business value.
Success in this role requires more than reporting results. It requires asking the right questions, uncovering insights, and turning them into actions that reduce risk and improve outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the monthly net exposure refresh process, ensuring McKesson maintains an accurate and actionable view of manufacturer risk.
Manage pre-refresh activities, including manufacturer hierarchy maintenance, onboarding of new manufacturers, and organizational hierarchy updates.
Execute refresh activities, including:
Data extraction across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory
Data consolidation and transformation
Data validation and quality assurance
Reporting and publication of results
Perform post-refresh analysis, including:
Leveraging AI-enabled tools to identify potential risk and value-creation opportunities
Conducting deep-dive analysis to validate identified opportunities, quantify risk exposure, assess potential business impact, and develop recommended mitigating actions
Socializing findings with internal stakeholders and aligning on risk assessments, priorities, and action plans
Manage a portfolio of manufacturers with active risk mitigation initiatives by incorporating newly refreshed exposure data, reassessing priorities, and driving appropriate follow-up actions to closure.
Partner across Legal, AR, AP, Returns, Procurement, Finance, and Business Units to align stakeholders and support timely execution of mitigation strategies.
Contribute to the ongoing refinement of the Manufacturer Financial Risk playbook by capturing lessons learned, documenting outcomes, and identifying opportunities to improve future effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements
Degree or equivalent experience and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience with 2 years of experience in financial analysis, risk analysis, or a related business field.
Preferred Requirements
Strong proficiency in Excel formulas and functions.
Relevant experience manipulating large datasets and generating insights.
Critical Skills and Capabilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
Demonstrated analytical reasoning and intellectual curiosity.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Naturally curious, with a desire to learn, ask questions, and understand how businesses operate.
Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets from multiple sources.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
Embraces technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and enhance decision-making.
