The Physical Therapy Assistant provides rehabilitative services and implements individualized treatment programs for incarcerated individuals under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. They are responsible for administering therapeutic interventions, monitoring patient progress, and maintaining accurate medical documentation while adhering to security and safety standards.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Required credentials include current Texas licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, Basic Life Support, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
Advanced Houston Specialty Hospital is looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team of health care professionals in a newly renovated facility at 205 Hollow Tree Lane, Spring, TX. Join our team and help us provide top-tier medical and security services to a justice involved population!
The Physical Therapy Assistant provides rehabilitative services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA assists in implementing individualized treatment programs for incarcerated individuals with physical impairments, injuries, or functional limitations. This role promotes recovery, functional independence, and quality of life while adhering to security, safety, and correctional healthcare standards.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her scope of work as determined by management.
High school diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. One (1) year physical therapist assistant experience in a hospital or correctional healthcare environment preferred.
Required certification and licensure as follows: Current Texas licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant., Basic Life Support, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
Must successfully complete annual requirements to include maintaining licenses, certifications, and passing an annual background check.
