The Senior Accountant II acts as a business partner between operations and supply chain teams, driving GAAP accounting processes and strategic cost savings. They are responsible for account reconciliations, monthly close activities, financial statement preparation, and providing accounting support for fleet governance and vendor reviews.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and at least seven years of related experience. A CPA license and specific experience in the aviation and aircraft maintenance industry are required.
Job SummaryThe Sr. Accountant II will lead the reporting for the monthly financial statement reporting, quarterly management discussion and analysis (MD&A), and GAAP external financial statements across the accounting organization. The accountant will act as a business partner between all organizations outside of accounting (including but not limited to operations and supply chain teams, fleet management, AP, Treasury, finance organization, and external auditors). The person will use their accounting knowledge and technical expertise to produce timely, accurate, and reliable financial reporting. The accountant will drive process improvements and improve documentation quality throughout the financial reporting process.CompensationThe salary range for this position is $94,100 - $122,250. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, skills, and other factors permitted by law.Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
