The Irrigation Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and programming of municipal irrigation systems across parks and open spaces. Additionally, the role involves operating heavy equipment, performing landscape maintenance, and assisting with snow and ice control operations.
Candidates must have at least four years of landscape maintenance experience, including two years specifically in irrigation systems, and a high school diploma. The role requires the ability to obtain a Class B CDL and relevant irrigation certifications within the first year of employment.

This is a Full-time/hourly position

As an Irrigation Technician, you will perform highly skilled work in the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems across City parks, landscape areas, open spaces, rights-of-way, and trails. This role ensures these areas remain safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. You will also participate in snow and ice control activities, operate light to heavy equipment, and occasionally lead seasonal staff.

Work is performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Requires heavy manual labor and lifting up to 50 lbs. May involve evenings, weekends, and emergency response beyond normal hours.
