JOB SUMMARY
Works under general supervision to provide scheduling of patients for department or clinic. Scheduling of Spine Center surgery and procedures at University Hospitals and the Outpatient Surgery Center (OSC) for surgical and non-operative providers, including entering the surgery case in Epic, obtaining and/or follow up on necessary clearances needed to schedule, assigning the date/time with the patient, and providing confirmation prior to service. Review of schedule for discrepancy and collaboration with providers, internal stakeholders, and regional sites to identify appropriate steps for patient treatment plan as it pertains to surgical and procedural services 3. Ad hoc projects such as communication with staff and providers to identify opportunity and work with leadership to implement updates according to hospital mandate, actively auditing cases for completion of pre-surgical elements, etc.
