Full job description
We’re building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world. We need talented, passionate professionals who are dedicated to doing what’s right for our clients.
At CIBC, we embrace your strengths and your ambitions, so you are empowered at work. Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.
As a member of the Commercial Real Estate team, you'll work with our clients to finance their growth, business objectives, and mitigate risk. As a Client Manager you will grow and manage a portfolio of clients by proactively developing new business opportunities in the NonBank Lender community and ensuring clients banking needs are being met at the highest level. As a strategic partner to our NonBank Lender clients, you'll be delivering solutions, loan products and cross-sell products to help clients realize their goals.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement will be discussed at your interview.
How you'll succeed
Relationship Building: The Client Management role will require a highly motivated and relationship driven individual to originate, develop, and deepen relationships with commercial real estate NonBank Lenders (credit funds, REITs). This role is responsible for business development activities that include leveraging referral sources, networking and strategic account planning. Commit to building a profile in the NonBank Lender community in order to leverage that profile into effective working relationships with new and existing clients as well as with internal partners. Actively monitor and manage these relationships by fully understanding our clients' goals and purpose.
Teamwork: Work with internal partners to connect clients with cross-sell opportunities such as capital market derivatives and private wealth introductions. And partner with our credit team and asset managers to ensure all credit and monitoring of the loan portfolio meet CIBC standards.
Client Experience: Maintaining consistent communication with your clients to assess their needs, proactively addressing any issues, and propose solutions as needed. You'll utilize your industry, company knowledge, analytical skills and negotiating skills to provide proposals for new business as well as existing business.
Who you are
You put our clients first. You engage with purpose to find the right solutions. You go the extra mile because it's the right thing to do.
You demonstrate your deep experience in commercial real estate by having a solid understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, market and asset valuations.
You have experience managing the credit quality of a portfolio of commercial real estate loans that have complex structures and business plans.
You act like an owner. You thrive when you're empowered to take initiative, go above and beyond, and deliver results.
You have a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work and live CIBC values - trust, teamwork and accountability.
At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of$165,000 - $180,000for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component. CIBC offers a full range of benefits and programs to meet our employee’s needs; including Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance, Disability, and Other Insurance Plans, Paid Time Off (including Sick Leave, Parental Leave and Vacation), Holidays and 401(k), in addition to other special perks reserved for our team members.
At CIBC, your goals are a priority. We start with your strengths and ambitions as an employee and strive to create opportunities to tap into your potential. We aspire to give you a career, rather than just a paycheck.
We work to recognize you in meaningful, personalized ways including a competitive salary, incentive pay, banking benefits, a benefits program, a vacation offering, wellbeing support, and MomentMakers, our social, points-based recognition program.
Our spaces and technological toolkit will make it simple to bring together great minds to create innovative solutions that make a difference for our clients.
We cultivate a culture where you can express your ambition through initiatives like Purpose Day; a paid day off dedicated for you to use to invest in your growth and development.
Subject to plan and program terms and conditions
