As a Product & Industry Solutions Director for Improper Payments within the Public Sector Payments team, you will serve as a strategic advisor to clients while driving the development, delivery, and adoption of innovative treasury and payments solutions. Leveraging deep industry expertise and a consultative approach, you will partner with Sales, Product, Technology, and Operations teams to design and deliver solutions that address complex client challenges and support business growth. In this role, you will bridge external market needs with internal product execution, acting as the voice of the customer while overseeing key aspects of the product delivery lifecycle. You will influence product strategy, drive commercialization efforts, manage cross-functional initiatives, and ensure solutions are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and at scale. Your leadership will help shape the future of Public Sector Payments by aligning client priorities, market opportunities, & product innovation solutions.
Job Responsibilities
Partner with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders to understand business challenges, operational requirements, and strategic objectives, developing tailored treasury and payments solutions.
Lead consultative solutioning efforts for Improper Payments reduction across Public Sector clients working closely with Sales, Treasury Officers, and Banking partners to drive client outcomes and business growth.
Serve as a subject matter expert in Fraud prevention within Public Sector Payments, providing insights on market trends, client needs, competitive developments, and emerging industry opportunities.
Act as the voice of the customer by translating client feedback into actionable product enhancements and strategic roadmap priorities.
Drive the adoption and commercialization of existing and emerging products, ensuring solutions are aligned to client needs and business objectives.
Lead cross-functional initiatives across Product, Technology, Operations, Legal, Risk, and Compliance to support successful delivery and implementation of strategic solutions.
Oversee key aspects of the product delivery lifecycle, including intake, dependency management, product operationalization, release readiness, and performance monitoring.
Maintain visibility across strategic initiatives, timelines, resource requirements, and dependencies, proactively addressing risks and execution challenges.
Ensure delivery activities adhere to firm risk, controls, compliance, and regulatory standards while supporting effective change management across stakeholders.
Develop thought leadership, client-facing materials, and internal training content to support sales effectiveness, market engagement, and organizational capability building.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of professionals while driving scalable and repeatable solutions that improve client experience, operational efficiency, and commercial outcomes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
8+ years of experience in Payments management with experience in managing fraud prevention initiatives, products or solutions
Experience in Product delivery, treasury services, payments operations
Demonstrated success designing and delivering complex solutions using a consultative approach.
Proven people management experience, including leading, coaching, and developing teams in a matrixed environment.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Business teams.
Strong understanding of treasury, payments, cash management, or financial services products and client applications.
Proven ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives, dependencies, and stakeholder groups within highly matrixed organizations.
Experience driving product implementation, operational readiness, commercialization, and adoption.
Strong executive communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution and operational delivery.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Public Sector industry expertise or experience supporting government, education, healthcare, or nonprofit clients. Experience leading enterprise product transformation, change management, or large-scale product delivery initiatives.
Recognized expertise or thought leadership in a relevant industry or product domain.
