The Surgical Technologist performs scrub roles in neurosurgical procedures, ensuring aseptic technique and proper instrument management. They collaborate with the surgical team to prepare operating rooms, manage supplies, and assist during emergency situations.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Surgical Technologist program and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Certification as a CST is required within 12 months of hire, along with BLS certification.
Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Surgical Technologist I for our CCD (Neuro) Operating Rooms. Here, you will assist the nursing and medical staff in providing care to patients undergoing surgical intervention and performance of surgical scrub technologist duties; collaborate with nursing and other disciplines, when necessary, to revise the plan of care to meet the changing needs of the patient. You will have constant contact with the Operating Room staff, physicians, clerical staff, anesthesia staff and materials management. This is the Center for Care and Discovery OR (Neuro) department. This position is 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
