The Nurse Practitioner will support medical activities, quality control standards, and risk management programs within the Colorectal Surgery department. They are responsible for maintaining a collaborative relationship with physicians and ensuring high-quality patient care documentation.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Nursing and be licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Virginia. Two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
A Nurse Practitioner (NP) employed by VHC Health Physicians (“Physician Group”) is required to complete a NP Agreement with their Collaborating Physician(s). This NP Agreement will describe the NP’s role and function, NP/Physician Relationship, Functions of the NP, Privileges/Procedures, Prescriptive Authority, Documentation Responsibilities and Evaluation process.Overall, the NP will support objectives, budget, performance metrics and medical activities at an Individual level including implementation of quality control standards, risk management and compliance programs.
