The Medical Director oversees clinical management and medical health programs in accordance with NCCHC/ACA standards. They provide direct medical treatment to inmates, supervise medical staff, and collaborate on medication formulary management.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine with a valid Maryland medical license. Board certification or eligibility is required, along with current DEA and BLS certifications.

PCM provides comprehensive medical & mental health care services to over 80 county jails, prisons, and juvenile detention centers throughout the states of PA, MD, NY, FL, NH & OH.
Correctional health care is a unique, challenging, and exciting opportunity for today’s medical professional in that it provides the ability to truly utilize all of your learned medical skills and knowledge on a daily basis. It is the perfect hybrid of Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, and Addiction Medicine; providing care to an under-served, diverse, and appreciative patient population.
We are looking for a Full Time Physician / Medical Director to provider on-site service in the medical department at facilities through our Maryland State. Jennifer Road Detention Center in Annapolis, MD; Ordnance Road Detention Center in Glen Burnie, MD; Kent County Detention Center in Chestertown, MD; and Cecil County Detention Center in Elkton, MD.
Weekly schedule is Monday - Friday normal business hours. In addition a company fleet vehicle will be provided!
