Description
Our Dump Truck Driver is responsible for delivering products to customers in a safe and productive manner in all weather conditions while providing professional and courteous service to all customers. Dump Truck Driver is responsible for operating equipment in compliance with DOT, OSHA and EPA regulations, and company processes while performing all necessary cleaning and maintenance of the Dump Truck to ensure reliable and on-time operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate Equipment Safely and in Compliance with All Regulations: Comply with DOT regulations including Pre-Trip, Post Trip and DVIR (Vehicle Inspection Reporting) requirements. Obey all traffic and safety rules.
Maintain safety awareness: wear all PPE consistently, perform all tasks in a safe manner and ensure others always work safely. Bring awareness to issues and potential issues (near miss) as discovered.
Deliver high-quality materials safely and on time: Ensure compliance with work instructions.
Perform Driver Maintenance Activities: Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and inspection reports (DVIR) Deliver high-quality materials safely and on time
Comply with all Data Reporting Requirements: Complete documents accurately and completely as required for internal records, customer specifications and regulatory requirements. Report on non-standard conditions.
Perform Plant Maintenance Activities: Per work instructions, maintain and clean your assigned truck
Present a Professional Image: Consistently provide exceptional customer service, always act professionally and maintain a positive attitude and productive relationship with all customers and team members.
Other duties as assigned and full compliance with all company policies and procedures as described in the Company handbook.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Safely Dump truck in compliance with DOT and company standards
Willing to learn and train on Tanker Vehicles and other vehicles as needed
Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and inspection reports (DVIR)
2 years’ driving experience in Dump Truck
Work closely with dispatch, plant teams, and quality personnel
Maintain and clean your assigned truck
Accurately complete delivery documentation
Provide professional, reliable service to customers at every stop
Valid NC CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
Knowledge of load securement
Physical Requirements:
Ability to pass a criminal background and Clearinghouse checks
Strong safety record and strong work ethic
This role is hands-on and active. Drivers must be able to:
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Climb ladders and access truck equipment
Sit, stand, and remain active for extended periods
Bend, twist, reach, kneel, and crouch as needed
Use hands and arms for vehicle operation and equipment handling
Maintain awareness of surroundings, including sounds, movement, and visual details
