Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on specialized railway construction equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Diagnose equipment problems in remote locations and maintain detailed maintenance records to minimize production impact.
Requires a 2nd Term Mechanic Apprentice status with field service experience and a safety-oriented work ethic. Must be able to read schematics, use welding tools, and travel 90% of the time.

Reporting to the Equipment Manager/Shop Foreman, the Mechanic performs duties and tasks related to the preventative and corrective maintenance of specialized railway construction equipment and other related construction equipment and vehicles. Working hours during the probation period will be straight day shift once the probation period ends the working hours will change based on business needs these positions are not for day shift only.
