The Raker is responsible for redistributing asphalt mix behind the screed to ensure proper placement and compaction. They also perform various labor tasks, including shoveling, sweeping, and operating construction tools to support the paving operation.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience on a paving crew, with at least 2 years specifically in asphalt raking. A valid Class 5 Driver's License and the physical ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Reporting to the Foreman, an Raker is responsible for redistributing asphalt mix as it leaves the screed, ensuring proper placement and preparation for rolling. As an integral member of the paving crew, the Raker performs tasks such as raking asphalt, shoveling excess material, sweeping debris, and other labor-related duties to support the paving operation.
