About SiTime
SiTime is the Precision Timing company.
Timing is the heartbeat of all electronics, ensuring performance, resilience and scalability. For decades, quartz devices, non-silicon technology, have kept systems in sync, but they struggle in harsher, more demanding environments. MEMS-based Precision Timing delivers greater accuracy, smaller size and resilience. Today, MEMS timing powers over 400 applications, including high-growth ones in AI datacenters, automated driving, industrial and humanoid robots, wearables and IoT.
Our semiconductor MEMS programmable solutions offer a rich feature set that enables customers to differentiate their products with higher performance, smaller size, lower power, and better reliability. With more than 4 billion devices shipped, SiTime is changing the timing industry. For more information, visit: www.sitime.com.
Job Summary
As a Test Development Engineer, you will contribute to the development, validation, and deployment of production test solutions for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and oven-based trimming/calibration systems. Working closely with product, design, manufacturing, and quality teams, you will support new product introduction (NPI), test program development, hardware bring-up, and data analytics initiatives to ensure robust and scalable manufacturing test solutions.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience in semiconductor test development, automation, system integration, and data-driven yield improvement. Candidates with strong technical fundamentals, programming aptitude, and a passion for problem-solving are encouraged to apply.
It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.
Responsibilities:
Test Solution Development
Develop, validate, and release production test programs for Eagle Test Systems (ETS88) and oven-based trimming/calibration systems.
Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by developing test methodologies and characterization plans.
Lead test program debugging, optimization, and correlation activities.
Improve test coverage, test time efficiency, and manufacturability to support high-volume production.
Test Hardware & System Integration
Lead the design, validation, and qualification of DUT boards, interface hardware, load boards, and test fixtures.
Lead hardware bring-up, system integration, and debugging activities.
Perform tester-to-tester, site-to-site, and platform correlation studies.
Conduct engineering evaluations and characterize test system performance.
Validation & Change Management
Lead validation of hardware and software changes for test systems.
Execute qualification plans and document results for test releases.
Ensure all changes comply with engineering and quality requirements.
Maintain test documentation, procedures, and release records.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product Engineering, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Equipment Engineering, and OSAT partners.
Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and test strategy development.
Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related disciplines.
At least 5 years of experience in semiconductor test, automation, manufacturing engineering, or related technical fields.
Technical Skills
Basic understanding of semiconductor device testing and electronic measurement techniques.
Programming knowledge in C/C++.
Familiarity with software development, scripting, debugging, and data analysis.
Understanding of analog, mixed-signal, or power electronics fundamentals.
Knowledge of statistical analysis and engineering problem-solving methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to Eagle ETS88 or other ATE platforms.
Familiarity with oven-based trimming, calibration, or characterization systems.
Experience with instrumentation such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, frequency counter, and switching systems.
Knowledge of data analysis tools such as JMP, Galaxy, Exensio, Power BI, or equivalent.
Exposure to Python or MATLAB is a plus.
Experience with lab projects involving hardware-software integration is advantageous.
