This is a hands-on builder role. Home services owners run real, complex businesses across HVAC, roofing, garage doors, lawn care, etc., and almost none of them can see their own operation clearly. When we show a customer their own numbers with a clear story — "half your morning callers hang up before anyone answers, that's $800K a year" — it changes how they run their business. Your job is to own this work and make it scale.
You'll define and create the core views and dashboards that let operators actually run their businesses, and you'll be the one who decides what those insights are. You'll sit with our top customers, learn their operation, and deliver the business intelligence no one else can give them.
You're the founding analytics hire on the Strategy & Analytics team. You'll also own how insights reach customers — the tools and channels for sharing dashboards externally, whether we build in a customer's existing BI or stand up our own.
Build customer-facing dashboards and analyses — performance dashboards, revenue deep dives, cross-customer benchmarks.
Find the insights that matter. Clean messy operational data, and pull out the two or three numbers that change what an operator does next month.
Sit with our customers. This is a customer-facing role: you'll understand their business inside and out — how they book, dispatch, sell, and retain — and deliver the business intelligence no one else can give them.
Meet customers in the tools they already use. ServiceTitan dashboards, their own BI, or nothing at all — you build where they'll actually look, and design the delivery channel.
Own how insights are delivered at scale. You decide the tooling and architecture for sharing analytics externally.
Partner closely with Product and Engineering throughout your role.
5–10 years of experience in analytics, BI, or data-heavy consulting/product roles with a track record of turning messy operational data into insights that moved the business.
You can sit across from a trades business owner, earn their trust fast, and pull out what's actually going on in their operation.
Experience delivering analytics to external users — customer-facing reporting, embedded analytics, or client-facing analytical work.
Bias toward building. You'd rather ship a rough answer this week than a perfect one next quarter.
Customer obsession. You measure yourself by whether the customer is better off, and you do what it takes to make sure they are.
Excellent SQL and hands-on dashboard craft, in a BI platform (Looker, Tableau, Sigma, Metabase, Power BI), in code, or both. Tool-agnostic: we care that insights get seen, not which tool they're seen in.

You've built business intelligence for trades operators, ideally in PE value creation/portfolio ops, or in-house at a multi-site operating business, and you know which numbers run a P&L.
Direct experience with ServiceTitan, HouseCallPro, or other CRM data models.
