Responsibilities
Digital Planning Transformation | Global Finance Cockpit Team
Why this role exists
Cockpit is the single reporting platform behind the organization's financial planning: 7,000+ users, 175,000+ views every month, with all Operating Units converging onto one standard.
The dashboards are largely built. What we're building now is different. We want reporting that maintains itself: dashboards that validate their own numbers, documentation that writes itself, insights that reach people without someone spending a Tuesday assembling them by hand.
That's where we intend to be in two years. We are not there yet, and we're hiring the person who helps us get there.
Generative AI is already part of how this team works. It isn't a pilot or a side project. But we care far more about someone who can tell when a model is confidently wrong than someone who has collected prompting tricks.
What you'll actually do
Build reporting people rely on (the core of the job)
Sit with Operating Units and Finance teams to understand what they actually need, which is usually not what they first asked for
Build financial performance dashboards with real drill-down, following our standard frameworks
Improve what already exists: faster, clearer, more consistent
Watch how people really consume the data, from analysts to senior leaders, and redesign around what you see
Apply our data security and FP&A reporting standards. We'll teach you these, and you'll follow them carefully
Make the work smarter (this part grows as you do)
Use AI in daily delivery: drafting documentation, writing and debugging calculations and SQL, accelerating requirements analysis
Build and refine prompts for the things we do repeatedly (validation, documentation, quality checks) and improve them based on whether the output actually got better
Catch AI's mistakes before a business user does: invented logic, results that don't reconcile, errors that fail silently
Find the manual, repetitive parts of our reporting cycle and propose how to automate them
Grow into shaping our AI validation and quality frameworks alongside the team
Work with people
Partner with S&T so business requirements survive the translation into Cockpit
Help train and support Cockpit users
Take on high-priority projects as they come up
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?
Genuinely required
0 to 2 years of experience in analytics, reporting, data or engineering. Internships, academic work and personal projects all count.
Hands-on with at least one BI or data tool. Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, or a data-engineering background built on SQL, Python and pipelines. We don't need a Tableau expert. We build them. Most people here are productive in Tableau within a few months. What we need is someone who has already built something real with data and can walk us through the decisions they made and why.
You use generative AI for real work, not just chat. Show us one concrete thing you built, automated or solved faster because of it.
Basic SQL. You can read a query, understand a join, and trace where a number came from.
You check whether a number makes sense before you publish it. This matters more than any tool on this list.
Good English, written and spoken.
Comfort with things being unfinished. Our tooling changes every few months. That's the job, not a defect in it.
Helpful, but not expected
Python, Databricks, or any cloud data platform
LLM APIs, automation tools, or anything you've built with AI beyond a chat window
Finance or FP&A background, or familiarity with P&L and performance reporting
Data modeling fundamentals (grain, joins, single source of truth)
Not required
Tableau certification. Prior finance work experience. Having done this exact job before. If you're strong on judgment and genuinely fluent with AI, apply. We'll teach you the rest.
If this is an opportunity that interests you, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet 100% of the requirements.
What you'll be in 18 months
You'll understand how a global company actually plans and measures itself, and you'll have built reporting that thousands of people use to make real decisions. You'll be fluent in Tableau, working well past dashboard-building, and helping define how an AI-enabled reporting function operates. Very few people anywhere have done that yet.
This role sits where finance, data and AI meet, and that intersection is where the interesting careers are being built right now.
How we'll assess you
1. A dashboard you build on your own time. We'll send you a dataset and a short brief. Build something you'd be comfortable putting in front of a finance team. Use whatever tool you're strongest in: Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik, Python, or something else. We are not testing which software you know.
2. A conversation about what you built. You'll walk us through your reasoning: the design choices, what the data let you say and what it didn't, and where you weren't sure. Then we'll ask you to make a couple of changes to it live, with us. That's not a trap. It's the closest thing to how this job actually feels when a stakeholder changes their mind mid-review.
3. A conversation about AI on real work. How you use it day to day, and how you decide whether to trust what it hands you. Using AI on the exercise is fine and expected. Just be ready to explain what you used it for and how you verified it.
What can you expect from us:
Opportunities to learn and develop every day through a wide range of programs.
Internal digital platforms that promote self-learning.
Development programs according to Leadership skills.
Specialized training according to the role.
Learning experiences with internal and external providers.
We love to celebrate success, which is why we have recognition programs for seniority, behavior, leadership, moments of life, among others.
Financial wellness programs that will help you reach your goals in all stages of life.
A flexibility program that will allow you to balance your personal and work life, adapting your working day to your lifestyle.
And because your family is also important to us, they can also enjoy benefits such as our Wellness Line, thousands of Agreements and Discounts, Scholarship programs for your children, Aid Plans for different moments of life, among others.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We respect and value diversity as a work force and innovation for the organization.
PepsiCo is a playground for curious people. We invite thinkers, doers, and changemakers to champion innovation, take calculated risks, and challenge the status quo. From executives to team members on the front lines, we’re excited about the future. We take chances. Together, we dare to make the world a better place.
Our associates are the magic ingredient. Each of them plays an integral role in helping create deep connections between people and our products. Think about your last group celebration: Chances are, one of our iconic brands was by your side. At PepsiCo, you’re invited to be a part of a global team of innovators who make, move, and sell these products—which are enjoyed by more than 1 billion people a day.
A career at PepsiCo means working in a culture where everyone’s welcome. Here, you can dare to be yourself. No matter who you are or where you’re from, you can influence the people around you and the world at large. By showing up, you’ll have the opportunity to learn, develop and grow your skills for the future. Our supportive teams can fuel your professional goals to make a global impact on people and the planet.
Join us. Dare for Better.
