Position Summary:
AXS is seeking a Lead Product Manager to define and execute the vision for our next-generation Commerce Platform, a foundational capability within our enterprise tooling that powers how products are defined, priced, taxed, settled, and presented across the AXS ecosystem.
This role owns the strategy, vision, and delivery of the Commerce Configuration Framework, which is a foundational platform that introduces modern, configurable commerce services for inventory definition, pricing composition, contractual revenue allocation, taxation, consumer price presentation, and financial governance.
Success in this role requires balancing platform modernization, regulatory compliance, financial integrity, operational scalability, and client flexibility while delivering reusable platform capabilities that support AXS' long-term global commerce strategy.
The ideal candidate combines exceptional product leadership with deep technical and business acumen. You are comfortable discussing APIs, configuration frameworks, financial systems, distributed services, pricing engines, taxation, settlement, and platform architecture with engineering teams while translating those concepts into scalable business capabilities.
You will partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Finance, Client Operations, Ticketing Operations, and Executive Leadership to build one of the most strategic platform investments within our enterprise platform.
Essential Functions:
As a Lead Product Manager you will be accountable for:
Defining the long-term vision, roadmap, and product strategy for the Commerce Platform.
Demonstrated success defining products that span multiple engineering teams and organizational domains.
Strong understanding of modern commerce concepts including pricing, taxation, settlement, financial systems, or revenue management.
Experience partnering closely with engineering teams building APIs, configuration platforms, distributed systems, or platform infrastructure.
Experience modernizing legacy systems while balancing operational continuity and long-term platform evolution.
Strong systems-thinking mindset capable of connecting customer workflows, financial processes, technical architecture, and operational execution.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills with experience using quantitative and qualitative data to guide product strategy.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building configurable commerce, payments, pricing, taxation, ERP, or financial platform products.
Experience with pricing engines, product catalog services, settlement platforms, or revenue attribution systems.
Familiarity with tax orchestration providers and global taxation concepts including VAT, GST, and US sales tax.
Experience designing platform governance, inheritance models, or configurable business rules engines.
Knowledge of financial reconciliation, accounting workflows, or enterprise reporting systems.
Experience with platform migrations involving legacy modernization.
Experience working within highly regulated industries.
Background in ticketing, eCommerce, payments, fintech, SaaS, ERP, hospitality, travel, or marketplaces.
