Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
Automates manual release activities
Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Responsible for developing and delivering complex software requirements
Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
Design develop and maintain End to End mainframe-based applications using COBOL, CICS and relevant technologies.
Collaborate closely with product managers, teammates and other engineering teams to satisfy requirements and deliver highly performant resilient applications.
Participate in Agile development cadences and CI/CD pipelines
Provide Level 3 support for the Account Analysis Billing & Pricing applications
Stay current with technologies and propose improvements to tools, processes, and architecture
Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be expected to Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle/ Software Testing Life Cycle (SDLC/STLC) and their interrelationships.
10+ years of mainframe development experience using CICS, COBOL, DB2
Proficient in JCL, Endevor, VSAM, Easytrieve+
Proficient in mainframe assembly language
Good understanding of NDM & SFTP
Ability to work in an Agile development environment & working knowledge of Jira
Excellent communication skills.
Motivated, Self-Starter, Organized and ability to work independently
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Able to work in a separate location and time zones from other team members and meet goals
