The engineer is responsible for the design, commissioning, and standards development of SCADA and telecommunication systems for transmission substations. They will also plan and execute capital projects while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and engineering standards.
Candidates must hold a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and be a registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with APEGA. A minimum of 5 years of experience in SCADA and telecommunication system design is required, along with proficiency in relevant industry standards.
We are hiring a full-time permanent Engineer, SCADA & Telecom position working out of Edmonton, AB.
In this role, you are responsible for the design of Transmission substation projects within Electricity Operations. This includes ensuring that the SCADA and Telecommunication systems perform safely, reliably and in support of business processes while achieving the deliverables on schedule and within budget.

This role offers flexible work arrangements under EPCOR's Where We Work Program. You'll primarily work from home three days a week, coming into the office as needed. Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be spent in the office but are subject to change.
