The Youth Mentor will supervise and engage participants in recreational and educational activities while fostering a safe and inclusive environment. They are also responsible for program administration, including documentation, safety audits, and maintaining positive relationships with community partners.
Candidates should have experience working with children and youth in recreational or educational settings and possess strong communication and leadership skills. A valid First Aid and CPR certification, as well as a Vulnerable Sector Check, are required for this position.

Position Summary:
BGC Jane and Finch is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and community-minded Youth Mentors to support and engage children and youth through recreational, educational, and leadership-based programming. Youth Mentors serve as positive role models who foster healthy relationships, encourage personal growth, and contribute to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
This position offers valuable experience in youth development, recreation, leadership, social services, and community engagement.

Through life-changing programs, community-based services, and relationships with peers and caring adults, BGC St. Alban's Club helps children and youth develop the skills they need to succeed. St. Alban's Boys and Girls Club was founded in 1949 and serves over 2000 members a year at our founding clubhouse plus 1000 more in 18 satellite sites including locations in three United Way identified priority neighbourhoods. Passionate, well trained staff and volunteers lead a diverse range of programs and services such as daycare, early years programs, after school programs, sports and recreation programs, youth leadership programs, summer camp, aquatic lessons, tutoring, mentoring, arts programs, employment readiness programs and more. At St. Alban's, we strive to maintain and strengthen our core services to children and youth while growing to meet the varied and changing needs of our communities. Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada (BGCC) is a leading provider of quality after school and out-of-school programs to children and youth that support the healthy physical, educational and social development of more than 200,000 young people and their families in Canada each year.
