About the job:
At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
The Search EDU team is dedicated to building the world’s most knowledgeable AI for learning. The goal is to enable users to ask Search any educational question in a natural, conversational way, making Google the go-to partner for everything from finishing daily homework to planning a college journey.
In this role, you will make Search's AI answers for education personally useful to a various global audience, ranging from primary school students to lifelong learners. You will collaborate with horizontal teams and ecosystem partners to shape strategic product execution, while working directly on the complete Search AI stack—including prompt design, evaluations, and model evolution. Ultimately, you will drive initiatives that make a meaningful difference in how humanity learns and accesses knowledge.
In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on. In joining the Search team, you'll have an opportunity to make an impact on billions of people globally.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Define and operationalize product roadmaps by deeply understanding the needs, desires, and constraints of a various learner audience—ranging from primary school students to PhDs and lifelong learners.
Work directly on the full Search AI stack to drive product development, leveraging prompt design, evaluations, experimentation, and GDM (Google DeepMind) model evolution.
Develop product strategy with horizontal teams, determining which educational solutions require vertically deep, tailored execution versus broader, horizontal integration.
Collaborate across the global education ecosystem to build and launch direct-to-consumer experiences, school and university solutions, and integrated third-party partnerships.
Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle—from ideation and launch to maintenance—partnering closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, UX, PgMs, and Data Scientists) to secure buy-in and achieve the overall product goal.
A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. Bring your insight, imagination and a healthy disregard for the impossible. Bring everything that makes you unique. Together, we can build for everyone.
