The ISSO is responsible for protecting classified information systems and ensuring compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community cybersecurity requirements. Key duties include managing RMF authorization packages, conducting vulnerability assessments, and maintaining the overall security posture of mission-critical environments.
Candidates must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph and a DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification. A bachelor's degree in a technical field is required, or nine total years of ISSO experience as a substitute.

The ideal candidate has experience managing day-to-day cybersecurity operations, conducting security assessments, supporting system authorization activities, and ensuring secure operation of complex information systems throughout their lifecycle.
