The Assessment Coordinator evaluates walk-in and phone clients to determine appropriate psychiatric services and schedules initial assessments. They manage the admission process by collaborating with the business office and providing clerical support to the Care Coordination team.
A high school diploma is required, and previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility is preferred. Candidates must obtain CPR and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) certifications within 30 days of hire.

How you’ll contribute
The Assessment Coordinator evaluates the needs of walk-in clients and phone callers to ensure appropriate referrals to services or resources. They schedule initial psychiatric assessments for individuals seeking treatment for substance use, dual diagnoses, or emotional and psychiatric conditions, presenting symptoms to psychiatrists for care recommendations. The coordinator also triages patients to alternative providers when needed, responds to inquiries about treatment and facility services, documents calls, sets appointments, and works closely with the business office to ensure a smooth admission process.
