The Program Director provides overall leadership and day-to-day management of an afterschool program to ensure compliance with DYCD and CAMBA standards. Key duties include supervising staff, managing program budgets, and maintaining relationships with schools and community stakeholders.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in social work, public administration, criminal justice, or a related field. A minimum of 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in community-based programs or social services is required.

We take a comprehensive approach by offering more than 180 integrated programs in: Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Job Training & Employment Support Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. We reach more than 72,000 individuals and families each year at our 100 locations, including 10,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe. Over 85% of our families live in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today.
CAMBA operates afterschool programs across Brooklyn including COMPASS, SONYC, Beacons and Cornerstones. All programs are run in partnership with other community organizations to provide education, recreation, cultural activities, youth leadership and social services to the neighborhood’s students and their families.
The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to ensure the smooth day-to-day running and supervision of program-related staff and services in accordance with all program goals, targets, and performance outcomes and all CAMBA and program policies, procedures, and protocols.
What Does a/the Program Director Do:
Compensation: -70,000 - 75,000 annually

This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
