The Assistant Program Director ensures the safety and security of program participants while managing daily office operations and attendance records. They support the Program Director in staff training, parent workshops, and coordinating with school administration to serve K-5 students.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience working with children in a group setting and some college credits or a bachelor's degree. Bilingual skills in English and another language are preferred.

We reach more than 72,000 individuals and families each year at our 100 locations, including 10,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe. Over 85% of our families live in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today.
The CAMBA After-School Program at PS 212 is funded by the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) and other funders, to serve approximately 148 children and youth in grades K-5. Children participate in program activities (such as homework help, conflict resolution, academic enrichment, recreation and creative arts programming) during after school hours and thirteen school holidays.

Compensation: $28.00- $30.00 hourly
When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
Status: -Full-time (35 hours per week)
