Services are provided across six program areas: Economic Development, Education and Youth Development, Family Support Services, HIV/AIDS Services, Housing Services and Development, and Legal Services. With over 40 locations throughout Brooklyn, CAMBA provides services in neighborhoods including Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Heights, Brownsville, Bushwick, Canarsie, Crown Heights, Downtown Brooklyn, East New York, East Flatbush, Flatbush, Flatlands, Kensington, Ocean Hill, Park Slope, and Williamsburg.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to: (1) assist in the direction and/or participate in a variety of related program facilities within the organization; (2) plan, develop, and coordinate services among all of the program facilities; and, (3) interact with facility staff on a regular basis; including the following:
Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.
Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol & Procedures.
Comply with any and all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy polices intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable health information.
Participate in the preparation of proposals and the negotiation process for contracts and/or subcontracts.
Understand all aspects of contract requirements and communicate this understanding to staff.
Conduct one-on-one weekly supervision of direct reporting staff in order to ensure quality contractor service delivery.
Facilitate a strategic planning process to ensure efficient operational achievements and future expansion/growth.
Make recommendations to the appropriate Senior Vice-President/Executive Vice-President regarding organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
Clearly communicate CAMBA’s and the funders’ policies, regulatory requirements, guidelines related to program facilities
Assist in the development and implementation of Quality Assurance measures to eliminate liability and enhance service delivery.
Review and approve staffs’ training, vacation/leave requests and professional development.
Approve supply requests, payment request forms and staff’s travel and expense vouchers.
Ensure that all direct and subordinate staff complies with CAMBA’s policies and procedures.
Ensure that any corrective action taken reflects compliance with CAMBA’s policy and procedure.
Ensure that all goals, targets, and performance outcomes are met on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
Ensure that all consultants’ and subcontractors’ comply with all contractual and agency standards.
Liaison with community leaders including police officials and building owners/partners to secure support.
Assist with purchasing and overseeing of inventory and procurement of bulk supplies and equipment.
Track expenses related to maintenance systems.
Assist with the management of storage facility and ensure safety and security of people and items contained within.
Assist with the management of the work order system for tracking facilities needs and ensuring completion in a timely and cost effective manner.
Prepare, document and analyze all facility operating expenditures related to supplies and building maintenance to ensure cost containment and contract compliance.
Ensure budget expenditures are appropriate and within fiscal and contractual guidelines.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all weekly/monthly/quarterly/semester/annual reports and statistical information for both CAMBA management and funder use.
Prepare, review and submit weekly reports and statistical information.
Conduct regular administrative staff meetings.
Review and sign time sheets.
Prepare performance appraisals for direct reporting staff.
Confer with the appropriate Senior Vice-President/Executive Vice-President and Senior Staff as needed regarding programmatic and personnel issues.
Represent CAMBA at funder/outside agency/community meetings as requested.
Immediately reports to the appropriate Senior Vice-President/Executive Vice-President any: monitoring visits or funders’ events; significant events; any incident that might subject CAMBA to liability.
Make hiring and firing recommendations to appropriate Program Managers, Senior Vice-Presidents, and Executive Vice-Presidents in consultation and agreement with Human Resources.
Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over a period of time.
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) and 3 years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience.
Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Foreign Language Ability: (Desirable, Not Required)
Ability to converse with candidates/clients in a language other than English (Haitian/Creole, French, Spanish, Russian, etc.)
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, decimals and percentages to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software; and Database software.
