The Physical Therapist develops and implements individualized care plans to support mobility and functional independence for medically complex children. This includes conducting comprehensive evaluations, supervising PTAs, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to improve resident quality of life.
Candidates must hold a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy or have 10 years of experience, along with an unencumbered Kentucky PT license and CPR/BLS certification. Experience with pediatric populations and complex medical needs in long-term care settings is preferred.

Home of the Innocents is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation and habilitation services at the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center our pediatric skilled nursing facility. In this rewarding role, you’ll deliver individualized therapy to residents with complex medical needs, including tracheostomies, ventilator dependency, and enteral feedings, while collaborating with an expert interdisciplinary team dedicated to enriching every life they touch.
A Day in the Life
The Physical Therapist assesses, evaluates, develops, and implements individualized plans of care to support mobility, gross motor development, range of motion, and functional independence. Reporting to the Lead Physical Therapist, you’ll collaborate with PTAs, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Nursing, and the broader interdisciplinary team to promote the highest practicable quality of life, meeting or exceeding federal, state, local, and facility standards.
Schedule: Full-time, 30 hours per week. Flexible schedule required, must be able to meet the needs of residents (early morning &/ or later afternoons). Must be able to work Fridays for coverage in the department. May include therapy outdoors, pool, offsite, and in the community.
