Responsibilities

Provide personalized, high-quality care and supervision for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Engage residents in therapeutic activities and maintain a clean, safe environment under the direction of Nurse Managers.

Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and current CPR/Basic Life Support certification. CNA certification is preferred, along with strong emotional intelligence and the ability to work independently.

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, families, and the community at our Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center. We provide compassionate care for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, using a multidisciplinary approach to help them thrive.

A Day in the Life

As a Resident Care Attendant, you’ll support residents under the direction of Nurse Managers, delivering personalized care that promotes fulfilling, enriched lives.

Schedule: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Part-time and full-time positions available.

  • Supervise residents and ensure safe, high-quality care
  • Engage residents in age-appropriate, therapeutic activities
  • Assist with lifting and transferring residents
  • Support on-site and off-site activities
  • Maintain a clean, organized environment

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current CPR/Basic Life Support certification (training provided)

Preferred:

  • CNA Certification

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the care team
  • Flexibility and integrity in diverse care situations
