Provide academic and social support to intellectually disabled adults by auditing classes and tutoring. Assist students with assignments and accompany them to on-campus and community-based activities.
Applicants must be currently enrolled Santa Fe College students in good standing taking at least six credit hours. A criminal background check is required, and experience with disabilities or tutoring is preferred.
Reports to: Instructional Specialist, Adults with Disabilities
Required: The Educational Aide must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic and behavioral standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours. Seeking only very motivated, highly responsible, and extremely capable applicants for this great opportunity. One to two interviews and three references will be required.
Other Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred: Experience as a teacher/tutor or with persons with disabilities is very helpful.
