We’re looking for an Organizing Coordinator for our Fresno office.
The Campaign Coordinator will support ACLU NorCal’s electoral engagement work ahead of the November 2026 general election through a variety of voter contact methods. The campaign coordinator will work closely with the Organizing Director to support the development and implementation of important pieces of our civic engagement plan.
The Campaign Coordinator will focus on turning out low propensity voters in key congressional districts in the Central Valley and working with ACLU volunteer leaders and supporters.
This position is temporary, full-time, non-exempt, and is not represented by our union bargaining unit. This role will conclude in November.
What You Will Do
Campaign support
Plan and manage ongoing text/phone banks, canvassing, and other voter contact activities.
Recruit volunteers to participate in election-related events through 1:1 conversations and community meetings.
Develop and maintain training for volunteers to use tools to effectively reach voters.
Provide support, guidance, motivation, and feedback to volunteers.
Support statewide ballot measure education and voter education activities.
You may also have an opportunity to participate in local, state, and federal advocacy on relevant issues. Provide logistical support for volunteer programs and events (both online and in-person), including booking venues or setting up Zoom, managing registration before and during check-in, coordinating technology needs including audio-visual setup, managing slides during online trainings, coordinating security and safety protocols, ordering food and supplies, coordinating with vendors on-site and beforehand; formatting handouts and presentations; and packing and transporting all materials.
Support planning of nonpartisan candidate forums.
Provide logistical support for large-scale events, or events featuring multiple vendors, and many moving parts in a fast-paced environment.
Support events by posting events to EveryAction, tracking responses from online sign-up forms, and making recruitment and confirmation calls as needed.
Coordinate interpreters, translators, captioners, childcare, and other services to ensure programs and events are accessible to all participants.
Maintain accurate data to track progress and measure outcomes of voter contact activities.
Share regular reports that inform campaign strategies.
Other special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

Physical ability to set up, staff, and clean up at meetings and events, including moving chairs and tables, and carrying boxes and equipment.
Ability to track and coordinate logistics and travel arrangements for meetings, events, and trainings.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, stay organized, and complete assignments under deadlines.
Available for weekend and evening responsibilities.
Available for travel within the Northern California region.
A valid driver’s license.
Ability to work as a team member as well as independently.
