The Sign Language Interpreter provides autonomous interpreting services for clinical and professional encounters across inpatient, ambulatory, and emergency settings. They also facilitate cultural mediation between patients and providers to ensure effective communication and patient autonomy.
Candidates must possess fluency in English and ASL, with at least two years of post-high school education and relevant interpreting experience. Professional certification such as RID, NAD, or BEI level II is required.

Responds to pages and interpreting requests. Triages and prioritizes interpreting requests, collaborating with team or back-up interpreter when necessary to ensure most efficient responses.
