Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a passionate and community-focused Employment Specialist to join our WorkPlace Associates (WPA) team. Through our Individual Placement & Support (IPS) model, we help adults with mental health, physical, and cognitive disabilities achieve meaningful employment and greater independence.
As an Employment Specialist, you'll work one-on-one with individuals to identify career goals, overcome barriers, develop job skills, secure employment opportunities, and maintain long-term success in the workforce. If you're relationship-driven, enjoy working in the community, and are motivated by helping others reach their full potential, we'd love to hear from you.
Work Environment:The WPA program is a community-based services program that are headquartered in an office environment. Must be able to provide community-based by operating their own vehicle. Exposed to a combination of office, school and mental health treatment environments. Exposed to children with behavior problems. May be exposed to shouting and children who are upset.
Physical demands:The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift objects of up to 20 pounds.
