In order to achieve its ambition of serving 80,000-100,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven is hiring a part-time Specialist, Volunteer Recruitment to support the execution of our volunteer recruitment strategy, helping bring in the thousands of Leadership Coaches, Professional Mentors, and Mock Interview Volunteers who make Braven’s program possible each year.
As a member of the Volunteer Team, you will work closely with the Associate Director, Volunteer Recruitment, to execute outreach tactics, build relationships with prospective volunteers, facilitate info sessions, and support the pipeline of candidates moving toward applying to our programs. This is a hands-on, relationship-facing role that sits at the front of the volunteer funnel, ideal for someone who is energized by connecting with people, finds creative ways to spread the word about a mission they believe in, and takes pride in organized, consistent follow-through.
Hours vary between 10 and 20 per week depending on the recruitment cycle, with lighter weeks during off-peak periods. This role is part-time and ends in June 2027. The Specialist will report to the Assoc. Director, Volunteer Recruitment.

Braven offers competitive hourly rates based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and we take internal and external equity seriously. The hourly rate for this role is set forth $25 per hour. As a part-time, non-exempt position, hours will vary week to week in line with recruitment cycle demands.
LocationThis is a remote position, and the person must live in one of our current Braven operating states: GA, IL, NY, NJ. There is an opportunity to work from our office if preferred.

The Braven Accelerator is principally facilitated by volunteer Leadership Coaches who come from all walks of life and all believe that our nation is better off when a person’s starting point does not limit their opportunities. Leadership Coaches guide our nation’s future leaders through this meaningful experience. At the same time, they develop and practice leadership and management skills that accelerate their own careers. They also develop their own network and deepen their connection to the community in which they live and/or work. This unique, high-impact volunteer opportunity employs a primarily virtual coaching model. From The Braven Accelerator will come a generation of leaders as diverse as our future demands.
