Job Description
As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Monitor in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer in a dynamic location, where you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, clear communication, and technology-based tasks. Bring your integrity and people-first mindset to a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork.
Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor front desk activity, manage access control processes, verify visitor information, and direct individuals to the appropriate contact or location.
Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
Answer questions, document site activity, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Help to support a professional lobby presence by observing surroundings, reporting unusual activity, and following post instructions at the front desk.
Minimum Requirements:
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
