Maintains hospital cleanliness by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, surgical suites, and clinical areas. Manages various waste streams and adheres to strict infection control and safety protocols.
Preferred high school diploma or GED with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be flexible to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requires ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., carry and push carts from 100 lbs. to 500 lbs. when performing duties. Works under a variety of temperature conditions. May involve transporting items outside of buildings in all weather conditions. Possesses the ability to stand for long periods as well as to walk long distances to perform cleaning and disinfecting tasks of both high and low items/areas. Requires ability to perform job duties correctly with in established System EVS standards to facilitate patient throughput. Requires ability to tolerate the associated visual, auditory and scents associated with providing all kinds of medical and surgical care. Work is typically performed within a office, clinical or classroom environment; frequently performs duties around patients, their families and clinical care providers as well as non-clinical staff. Join our EVS team and play a critical role in hospital cleanliness!
EVS provides healthcare environmental services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays.
We clean and disinfect both patient and non-patient areas, helping to prevent communicable diseases by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting public areas, hospital office and administrative areas, patient rooms, restrooms and hallways.
This is a part-time position with a rotating schedule. Work hours will vary based on departmental staffing needs. The ideal candidate must be flexible and available to work a combination of days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Sign-on Bonus up to $1,250 for eligible candidates.
$2.00 shift differential for evening and night shifts.
