Job Summary:
As an important member of the IBD research team, the Clinical Research Coordinator (Intermediate or Senior) supports the implementation and coordination of clinical research programs conducted by Dr. Mark Gerich and colleagues at the University of Colorado. This position will serve as the primary coordinator for the Qorus program and provide ongoing coordination and backup coverage for the IBD Biobank. The position independently manages participant recruitment, screening, informed consent, study follow-up, data collection, and research documentation while ensuring compliance with study protocols, institutional policies, FDA regulations, and ICH/GCP guidelines.
The Clinical Research Coordinator (Intermediate or Senior) works closely with research participants, investigators, gastroenterology providers, clinic staff, procedural teams, laboratory personnel, and other research partners. The position is accountable for meeting program-specific goals and timelines, maintaining accurate data and specimen records, and providing professional and responsive communication to participants and members of the research team.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and independently manage the day-to-day operations of the Qorus program and assigned clinical research activities.
Identify, recruit, screen, consent, and follow participants throughout the study lifecycle.
Coordinate patient- and provider-reported surveys, medication-related follow-up, study assessments, and data collection.
Support IBD Biobank enrollment, specimen collection, processing, storage, inventory management, and longitudinal collection activities.
Maintain accurate and timely research data, regulatory documentation, participant tracking records, and specimen inventories.
Serve as a liaison among participants, investigators, clinical teams, laboratory personnel, and research staff while maintaining professionalism and high-quality customer service.
Ensure research activities comply with human-subject protections, study protocols, Good Clinical Practice, HIPAA, institutional policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Contribute to workflow development, quality-improvement initiatives, recruitment goals, and the continued growth of the Qorus program and IBD Biobank.
