Job Title: Assistant Manager Technical Support

Location : Hyderabad/ Chennai/ Bangalore

Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Technical Support Engineer to serve as a key technical resource for our Sales, Service teams. In this role, you will diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues remotely, design winning technical solutions, and provide hands-on support at customer sites (Gemba). You will be instrumental in building regional technical competency and ensuring seamless customer experiences across internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver prompt technical support to field teams via phone and electronic channels, with a strong focus on laser technology products

• Remotely troubleshoot equipment issues; manage and track escalations through to full resolution

• Partner with the Sales team to define and configure solutions matching product capabilities to customer needs, and supporting application reviews and approvals

• Provide on-site (Gemba) technical support for application and integration challenges, including field visits when required

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams, OEMs, and distributors on application, integration, and connectivity matters

• Utilize Salesforce (SFDC) for case management, documentation, and knowledge article creation

• Conduct site audits, technical training sessions, and contribute to building regional technical expertise

• Collaborate with the broader Technical Support team on group KPIs, initiatives, and professional development activities

Education

Degree or Diploma in Engineering — Electronics or Instrumentation

Required Skills & Competencies

• Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to understand customer needs, identify root causes, and drive effective problem resolution

• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with electronics troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair; working knowledge of PLCs, encoder signals, product detectors, and I/O systems

• Networking & Connectivity: Proficiency in computer networking, communication protocols, and control logic

• Customer Focus: Minimum 2 years of customer service or technical support experience; demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues remotely and ensure timely closure

• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple escalations simultaneously with clear accountability and follow-through
