Candidates must possess extensive commercial leadership experience within the mining or construction sectors, with a proven track record of P&L management. Strong analytical skills, global business acumen, and the ability to lead complex, multi-faceted operations are essential.
Purpose of Role: As Managing Director, Africa, you’ll lead the ESCO Division’s commercial and operational success across the region. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Sales, you’ll take full P&L ownership, driving growth through strategic leadership of sales, fabrication, and service operations.
You’ll spearhead market expansion through both established and new sales channels, while championing innovation that delivers a competitive edge. Building strong industry relationships - both existing and new - will be key to your success in this high-impact role.

Extensive Commercial Leadership within mining, construction, or related sectors, combined with a strong track record of P&L ownership and strategic decision-making across complex, multi-faceted operations.
Strategic and Analytical Thinking Proven ability to develop and implement sales strategies, assess investment decisions, and lead initiatives such as greenfield developments, facility optimisation, and capital planning all supported by sound financial literacy.
Global Business Acumen: Experience managing international customer and supplier relationships, with a deep understanding of inter-company value chains and distributor-based sales models
Inspiring and Visionary Leadership: A collaborative leader who can engage teams with a clear vision, drive results through key performance metrics, and bring fresh ideas to support long-term growth and innovation
