Overview
The Imaging Manager manages clinical operations of specific areas of the Imaging Department including, but not limited to, equipment, personnel, scheduling, financial and customer service functions.
Qualifications
Certifications:
- Registered in Radiography (R) or
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine or
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography
Education:
- Associate's Degree: Related Field or
- Certificate of Completion: Related Field
Work Experience:
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct the daily operation of assigned areas and staff.
- Develop and foster collaboration among clinical departments and affiliated services
- Ensure an integrated and coordinated approach to providing Imaging services
- Provides resolution of customer complaints or problems.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to resolve problems
- Provides advice concerning technical procedures, techniques, and equipment.
- Assumes responsibility for personnel related duties that include interviewing, disciplinary actions, payroll reporting, scheduling paid leave, and enforcing required rules and regulations.
- Monitors employee performance
- Ensures timely communications for goal setting, performance evaluations, wages increases and continued personnel actions.
- Ensure all employees are properly oriented, trained, and that annual competencies, certifications, and licensure and education requirements are current.
- Ensure that all personnel are properly trained on equipment and competent in its use.
- Develops budget recommendations and monitors budget activities
- Manages Nursing, Scheduling, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Breast Imaging Professionals
- Oversees operational budget for:
- Nursing, Scheduling, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Breast Imaging Professionals
- Oversees capital equipment purchases for:
- Nursing, Scheduling, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Breast Imaging Professional
- Develops best practices with radiologists and interdisciplinary assistance for:
- Nursing, Scheduling, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Breast Imaging Professionals
- Monitors quality for
- Nursing, Scheduling, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Breast Imaging Professionals

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $46.13per hour - $79.34per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
