Overview
The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities
Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice. Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate. Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups. Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students. Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes. Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development of departmental standing orders. Triage phone calls Medication refills Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate Completes prior authorizations for medications and procedures Administers injections Assists providers with pump refills and injections Provides health and wellness education to the patients Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and health care students

Salary Range
The compensation range for this position is $33.11per hour - $53.88per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
