We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead digital transformation initiatives across our pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying, designing, implementing, and scaling digital solutions that improve operational efficiency, compliance, traceability, and user productivity across manufacturing and plant support functions.

This role is responsible for driving ownership and continuous improvement of core manufacturing digital systems at Sun Pharma — SAP (PP, , WM /MM , PM modules); along with connected platforms such as MES, eLogbook, QMS, LIMS, and other OT/IT systems. The position acts as the lead, ensuring harmonised system processes across sterile and non-sterile manufacturing sites and enabling ongoing digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

1. MES/SAP Ownership & Governance

- Serve as the Manufacturing SPOC for SAP modules related to manufacturing (PP/MM / WM/  Plant maintenance - PM), GRC , SAP Infrastructure Projects

- Own change pipeline and ensure compliant implementations.

- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance.

2. Leadership of Allied Manufacturing Systems

- Own the project rollout timelines working with multiple stakeholders for eLogbook, QMS, LIMS and related systems.

- Build integrated digital manufacturing roadmaps.

3. Manufacturing Domain Expertise

- Strong system processes understanding for sterile and non-sterile manufacturing.

- Support EBR and digital shopfloor rollouts.

- Familiar with various Supply chain management and procurement system getting used in Pharmaceutical Industry.

- Familiarity with Validation and Qualification for Software, Equipment, area, etc.

- Well conversed with Project management functions. e.g., Infrastructure, Software implementation, Product development etc.

- Familiar with GXP regulations for Pharmaceutical Drug formulation plants.

4. Transformation & Continuous Improvement

- Identify and execute digitization opportunities.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Engineering, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

.Strongly Preferred (But Not Mandatory)

Postgraduate qualification such as:

• M.Tech / MS (Pharma, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing)
• MBA / PGDM (Operations, Supply Chain, or Systems)

Experience

Must-Have:

- Strong SAP PP/QM/PM / WM knowledge.

- Experience with MES, eLogbook, QMS/eQMS, LIMS systems.

- Deep knowledge of cGMP, data integrity, regulatory norms.

Good-to-Have:

• Knowledge of OT/automation systems.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Prior experience in large-scale process harmonization
• Experience with low-code/no-code applications, or plant digital tools.

Tenure:  15+ years of experience
