The Role

This role sits in the eRisk Quant team within Markets, focused on quantitative models and algorithms for G10 Rates e-trading across EGBs, UST, Gilts and eSwaps. You’ll develop electronic pricing, risk management and execution strategies that support electronic market-making and hedging performance. The work spans research, implementation and performance evaluation using the team’s back-testing platform. You’ll also ensure the integrity of data used for quantitative analysis and help strengthen monitoring and reconciliation controls. Success means robust model calibration, high-quality testing and measurable improvements to pricing and risk strategies. The role is based in London and partners closely with Trading, Sales, Quant Development and IT across time zones.

What you'll be doing

• Develop electronic pricing models and algorithms for G10 Rates market-making across EGBs, UST, Gilts and eSwaps
• Develop risk management models and algorithms to support electronic market-making and hedging strategies
• Create market execution strategies for electronically executable STIRs products
• Implement performance simulation for market-making strategies within the eRisk back-testing platform
• Evaluate execution performance within hedging strategies and translate findings into model enhancements
• Assess client flow and assign systematic value to trades to inform strategy and decision-making
• Ensure integrity and usability of data used by the eRisk team for quantitative analysis
• Oversee development of monitoring and reconciliation tools to maintain tight operational controls

What we're looking for

• Bring substantial quantitative experience within the financial sector, ideally in electronic trading environments
• Demonstrate proven capability building pricing and risk models for FX and Fixed-Income products
• Show deep understanding of technology that underpins an electronic trading business
• Apply strong coding skills in Java, Python and q to deliver production-quality analytics and tooling
• Partner effectively with Trading and Sales to translate business needs into measurable model outcomes
• Coordinate with IT teams to support timely implementation of deliverables into live systems
• Embed robust calibration approaches and high-quality testing prior to deployment
• Maintain disciplined monitoring practices and follow relevant internal and external rules and procedures

Building the next generation of eRates models

This is an opportunity to build models that directly shape how G10 Rates e-trading prices risk and executes across key markets. The scope covers research through to deployment with a strong focus on testing and monitored production release. You’ll collaborate across Trading, Sales, Quant Development and IT to deliver improvements that are measurable in strategy performance and controls.
