We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of Global Chinese Propositions Development.

In this role you will:

• As the pillar lead to drive growth for Global Chinese via effective proposition development, product and service offerings, journey and process enhancements, and customer experience improvements across CLCM  
• Lead, design and implement business model to support Global Chinese propositions development with accountability to manage delivery roadmap within the assigned budget and agreed timeline
• Collaborate with Global Chinese corridors to develop holistic value proposition to drive customer growth and deepen customer relationship in order to improve customer revenue
• Achieve COP and FRP target by delivering all strategic initiatives according to plan to achieve the agreed customer and revenue growth target
• Identify opportunities and flag potential issues / challenges to cope with the dynamic competitive environment and regulatory landscape
• Work closely and build strong relationships across overseas HSBC markets in order to improve corridor collaboration in order to drive key International and Global Chinese customer growth KPI’s, expand productivity and increase sales
• Drive the effective roll out of new business initiatives including commercialization initiatives, cross border collaboration, ensuring all initiatives and execution are in full compliance with Legal and Regulatory requirements
• Conduct comprehensive competitor landscape and deep understand GC customer need through customer survey or interview
• Lead the preparation & materials for governance forums, supporting timely updates to management and liaise with stakeholders on the delivery of actions

 

To be successful you will need:

• 15+ years of experience in retail banking with in-depth understanding and experience in the financial or banking sector with specialty in product, proposition and marketing
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership/management experience required
• University degree or relevant post graduate qualification.  Advance degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus
• Strong business acumen with advanced strategic planning and project management skills and a hands-on approach to drive improvement and resolve problems
• Proven record in strategy formulation on retail banking with strong understanding of customer behaviours and needs on banking and wealth
• Excellent understanding of RBW strategic imperatives and being able to translate them into business objectives and policies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders across businesses and functions with ability to influence senior teams
• Exposure and previous experience with consulting or multi-cultural and cross-country programme management preferred
• Experience in addressing the needs of internationally mobile high net worth clients and their banking and wealth needs preferred
• Prior experience working with or in China / overseas advantageous
• Strong written, analytical and PowerPoint presentation skills
• Language skills preferred: English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
