SUMMARY: Manages the staff and operations of a medical office and/or multiple sites as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions. Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises all staff in the Medical Office. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. 1-2 years of Managing a medical office (Residency experience preferred)
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or

Degree from an accredited program in Nursing, Public Health and/or Business; or two to three
years related medical office management experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations
where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished
in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate skills in a variety of
software programs to include Microsoft products, current practice management system, and
electronic medical record.
Skill with patients in lower socio-economic sectors of the community. Ability to speak Spanish
desirable.
