This position reports to the Finance director and group financial controller and is part of Finance located in Cambridge and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Take ownership of the consolidation, including the preparation and review of group-level manual journals and adjustment entries.
Taking a lead role on any technical accounting matters, including the responsibility for the lease accounting for the group (centralized at the head office).
Lead month-end close delivery for the group and preparation of accurate group reporting packs for Danaher, under US GAAP.
Take ownership of statutory audits for UK and Dutch subsidiaries.
Execute key controls within the group reporting process in line with SOX requirements, ensure documentation and supporting files meet required control standards.
Take ownership of Abcam’s consolidation software (Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Software).
Drive process improvement, standardisation, and reporting efficiency aligned to DBS principles. Partner with global finance teams to ensure data integrity, issue resolution, and high-quality reporting delivery.

Strong technical accounting skills, with knowledge of IFRS
Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks for multiple stakeholders set to deadlines.
Experience in group reporting, consolidation, or external reporting.
Experience with ERP/consolidation systems (e.g., Oracle or similar).
Exposure to multi-currency and multinational organisations.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
