Who we are looking for:

Looking for KYC professional who understand and can provide end-to-end support to different types of customers like banks, mutual funds, pension plans etc., especially hands on experience to alternative investment Fund client types such as Hedge and Private Equity funds. The incumbents should be aware of Simplified Due Diligence (SDD), Enhanced Due Diligence, Risk Rating techniques, screening tools  (e.g., Prime), Expected vs, Actual analysis etc. The incumbents should also be aware of drill downs related to Controlling parties and BO structures.

Why this role is important to us:

The team you will be joining is Global AML Center (GAC), a centralized processing center and center of excellence performing AML/KYC for all business units of State Street. The Unit is responsible for entire gamut of AML/KYC functions including Periodic Review/Refresh, Event Driven Reviews, New Business Client onboarding and Offboarding functions.

What you will be responsible for:

• Onboarding of new clients such as alternative investment funds by understanding the client type and accordingly collect the KYC requirements by running the KYC Metrix Checklist.
• Liaise with client representatives or RM’s to obtain missing information, product details and other CDD details.
• Ensure State Street AML/KYC Compliance Policy requirements are met and that CIP/CDD procedures are followed.
• Manage the completion of CIP/CDD documentation for all customers in line with applicable AML Policies & Procedures.
• Ensuring KYC / Anti-Money Laundering risk assessments are completed prior to account opening.
• Validating CDD documentation provided by the business independently from various websites and vendors and requesting missing documentation.
• Reviewing and tracking CDD documentation for all customers in line with applicable KYC Policies & Procedures.
• Screening customer’s names and other parties against various lists.
• Performing End to End Risk assessment of the customer profile in KYC Platform (KYCP).

What we value:

• Possess good understanding on end to end KYC process.
• Ability to perform KYC reviews on different entity types, such as Trusts, Hedge Funds, regulated entities, SPV, Pension plans etc.
• Should have worked on negative searches and hands on experience of Lexis-Nexis.
• Understanding of controlling party and ownership structure.
• Strong time management skills and flexibility in re-prioritizing tasks
• Good Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Ability to perform effectively to strict deadlines
• Must be detailed oriented and analytical and should possess strong customer service skills.

• Work Location : Bangalore

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

Graduate and above 

Knowledge of AML/ KYC is essential with at least 6 to 8 year on AML experience

Accuracy in processing in line with SOPs with minimum errors

Flexible to work in shifts and extended working hours if required.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have)

• Exposure to processing KYC for Banks, Mutual Funds, Pension Plans, Charities, Non profit organizations, NGO’s, foundations etc.
• Knowledge of World Check, Prime Check & Lexis Nexis etc.
